Jennifer Shaw, LCSW
(She/Her)
Clinical Director
Who I work best with:
Anxious professionals in high-stress jobs
People who feel ambivalent about their current relationship or who are going through a divorce or breakup
New parents or parents who are interested in recalibrating their parenting relationship
Folks who are seeking to understand themselves in a deeper way
I am a caring, empathic counselor with a direct style. I believe that we are capable of much more than we oftentimes give ourselves credit for; an experienced ear and fresh perspective can help make the difference between simply surviving and thriving. It would be my honor to help you achieve more.
I especially love working with professionals who are struggling with work stressors, general life transitions (graduations, job changes, death and loss, new parenthood) and difficult relationships (breakups/divorces, trouble with current partner, difficulty finding romantic partners that feel “right”).
I have many years of experience treating clients with anxiety symptoms, mood disorders and trauma histories. I approach the therapeutic relationship with a deep respect for your preferences, strengths and desires. I see the world through a feminist lens and utilize feminist, person-centered practices in our work together.
I am trained in Brainspotting (Phases 1 and 2) and we can incorporate this modality into your treatment to help accelerate your healing.
